I grew up in Alaska — its mountains, its winters, its quiet sense that you are small and the world is enormous and that's somehow comforting. I left, like many do. And then I came back, like fewer do.

I came back because I missed the people. The neighbors who plow each other out. The strangers who become family by the second cup of coffee. The way every conversation seems to circle back to home — what we'd give to keep it, what we'd trade to find it.

As an entrepreneur, investor, travel advisor, and single mother, I started Fireweed & Compass to honor what Alaska gave me — and to help Alaskans navigate the transitions that shape us most.
